Tom Harwood was up in arms on GB News as Home and Security Editor Mark White exclusively revealed how migrants and people smugglers are “terrorising” seaside towns.

The GB News presenter was utterly exasperated particularly at Labour “saying one thing, but doing something completely different” when handling the small boats crisis.

After Mark’s report, the Home Office said: “The number of small boat crossings are shameful and the British people deserve better. This Government is taking action.

“We’ve detained and removed more than 35,000 who are here illegally, and our historic deal with the French means those who arrive on small boats are now being sent back.

“But we must go further and faster, removing more of those here illegally and stopping migrants from making small boat crossings in the first place.”

In response, Dawn said: “My immediate reaction is that I don’t want words like that. I want you to do something.”

But Tom went further, taking no prisoners as he delivered a scathing rant against Labour, saying: “The most extraordinary thing, throughout the course of this crisis, you have Government after Government and Home Secretary after Home Secretary saying that they’re dealing with this problem.

“That they’re getting rid of people with no right to be here.

“If you come here illegally, they will remove you. That’s what they say.

“But then what happens if you rock up on a small boat? What happens?

“You’re put up in a hotel. You are given a stipend from the British taxpayer.

“Your board and bed are paid for by the British taxpayer. I mean, they are doing one thing and saying something completely different.

“And what would you respond to if you’re an illegal migrant, what you see happening every single day or what you hear the politicians saying?”

The GB News Deputy Political Editor laid into the Labour Government after GB News’ Home and Security Editor Mark White revealed that people-smugglers and migrants are operating with near impunity in French coastal towns.

The report reveals that the migrants are brazenly wandering around local streets in their lifejackets and remain unchallenged by police.

Clashes with police in the small town of Gravelines, near Dunkirk are commonplace now as local residents lament a surge in crime.

Philippe, a resident in the town, told GB News: “We’re being terrorised by mobs of migrants. They’re not just fighting with police. They’re damaging our property and cars.

“They seem to be increasingly desperate to get across to Britain. When they can’t launch their boats for whatever reason, they go on the rampage, fighting with police.”

Brutal clashes, including shootings and stabbings, have turned squalid shelters into regular war zones.

The worst violence has been pinpointed to the camp at Loon-Plage near Dunkirk, where scores of migrants have been shot in the past year, more than half a dozen fatally.
