Kirstie Allsopp, the star of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, has launched a blistering takedown of the Green Party after learning of a surge in the party’s popularity among young women.

In response to a graph based on YouGov figures that showed a flood of support for the Green Party from women aged 18-50, Ms Allsopp failed to hide her despair in a recent social media tirade.

“Where did this come from?” she asked. “Please tell me this is a joke?”

Ms Allsopp went on: “Apart from anything else it makes women look economically moronic & there is the uncomfortable issue of antisemitism.” (sic)

The graph in question depicted the number of seats the Greens would win today if only women between the ages of 18 and 50 were allowed to vote.

According to the image, it would result in the Greens winning a hypothetical 482 seats, dwarfing Labour’s 84, the Liberal Democrats’ 52, the Conservatives’ eight, and Reform UK’s two.

The Location, Location, Location star was soon met with a rather mixed response, with columnist Owen Jones among those criticising the Channel 4 presenter’s comments.

However, this didn’t deter Ms Allsopp from continuing her tirade against the Greens and the party’s leader, Zack Polanski.

The presenter targeted Mr Polanski specifically in a separate X post, criticising his reaction to an interview he conducted with Sky News on Sunday morning.

“Thursday is local election day & national elections in Scotland & Wales,” Ms Allsopp began.

“The Green party leader could spend today tweeting about party policies & solutions to important problems. Instead he has RTed nearly 20 posts objecting to an interview he didn’t like, he is not serious.” (sic)

Once again, Ms Allsopp faced criticism from Green supporters who argued the party was a preferable alternative to Reform UK and Nigel Farage.

But the Channel 4 star stood firm, insisting that the local elections and upcoming general election should not be perceived as a two-horse race.

“This is not about Reform or Green, we have 3 other parties in England who have successfully run local authorities and often (not always) get it right. A Greform local authority is not a good idea,” she argued in response to one X user. (sic)

And she doubled down on that fact in another post that read: “The choice is not between Green or Reform.

“Vote LibDem, Vote Labour or Vote Conservative, but for God’s sake don’t condemn us to Greform local authorities, it will make the current state of affairs look like the good old days!” (sic)

Zack Polanski issued an apology for his social media activity following the antisemitic Golders Green attack

| PA

This isn’t the first time Ms Allsopp has used X to share her political views and go after the Greens.

Just last week, the presenter also waded into the debate surrounding the Met Police’s handling of a terror attack suspect following a double stabbing in London’s Golders Green.

After being accused of stabbing Shloime Rand and Moshe Shine, two Jewish people, officers tackled Essa Suleiman to the ground as they apprehended the suspect following the attack.

Mr Polanski had reshared a highly critical social media post of the officers that read: “So essentially his officers were repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head when he was already incapacitated by a taser.”

Dead right, neither are, but this is not about Reform or Green, we have 3 other parties in England who have successfully run local authorities and often (not always) get it right. A Greform local authority is not a good idea.

Metropolitan Police chief Sir Mark Rowley dismissed Mr Polanski’s social media activity, for which he later apologised, and Ms Allsopp was just one voice who waded into the dismay.

On April 30, she posted on X: “I love the U.K., a man can run around the streets stabbing people for being Jewish, and the issue people debate is whether the police officers trying to remove the knife from him used excessive force.

“Proof that we will do absolutely anything to avoid addressing antisemitism.”

While Mr Polanski has not directly addressed Ms Allsopp’s criticism, he returned to social media on Tuesday with a message to his political rivals.

“When you see the relentless attacks from other parties on the Greens across the media remember this,” he began.

“They hate our plan to end Rip Off Britain. They don’t want a wealth tax. They don’t want public ownership & lower bills. They’re trying everything in their power to stop us.”

GB News has contacted the Green Party for a response to Ms Allsopp’s remarks.
