Zia Yusuf has spoken out on GB News for the first time since Robert Jenrick was recruited as Reform’s sixth MP.
Reform UK’s Head of Policy said he and his team welcomed the shock defection, which has been in the works since September 2025.
Mr Jenrick’s dramatic departure from the Conservative Party shook Westminster after Tory leader Kemi Badenoch ousted her Shadow Justice Secretary from his position over a “secret” plot to defect to Nigel Farage’s party on Thursday.
And, just a few hours later, Nigel Farage unveiled the former Tory leadership contender as Reform’s sixth MP.
But now the recruitment of the former Conservative has reignited debate over the possiblity of “infighting” between the big beasts.
Mr Yusuf told GB News: “The group of us had dinner just a couple of nights ago, and as I said, we’ve got a great working relationship. I want to say this too.
“We are still procuring the talent that we need at Reform.
“So I would not pay any attention to all of those palace intrigue rumors because they’re just not true.”
