Bev Turner was left in floods of tears last night after watching the latest John Lewis Christmas advert.
The GB News host admitted she was genuinely moved, reflecting on the powerful way the advert captures family connections and the challenges parents face in connecting with teenagers.
Bev laughed and wiped away tears, causing host Patrick to also get emotional.
The two-minute advert begins on Christmas Day, with a father discovering an unopened gift beneath the tree a vinyl of Where Love Lives by Alison Limerick.
As the record plays, he is swept through a series of memories, watching his son grow from a baby into a teenager.

The advert ends with the line: “If you can’t find the words, find the gift.”
Bev’s emotional reaction prompted Patrick to also get emotional as he said: “I was all right and now you have set me off. I don’t know if I’m actually crying at the advert or if you have just made me cry.”
Bev explained: “No, listen, I think there is not a parent of teens that won’t find that incredibly moving because it taps into so much for that generation. Like for my generation of nostalgia and identity.
“Music is so powerful, isn’t it? It takes you back to certain times. You’re at the baby stage.
“You don’t know. But I promise you, there is an epidemic in the world at the moment of parents with teens who struggle to connect with them.
“And most of the time, it’s because the kids are walking around with blooming headphones on, listening to their own music.
“For John Lewis to use music as a way of bringing the family together like that, it’s just beautiful.
“It’s great. It makes me just literally want to go and buy everything in their shop, because it shows that they get it for parents and families.”
Patrick agreed: “That bit with the new born baby, that’s something I have right now. I was thinking, oh, it’s such a special time, imagining when he takes his first steps toward me and all of that.

“And then I start wondering, what’s it going to be like in the future? I have a bit of a fear, I think many parents do, of what it will be like when he’s a teenager. Is he going to hate me?”
The GB News hosts are not the only ones being left in floods of tears by the advert, with many viewers taking to social media to share tearful responses.

Director of brand for John Lewis, Rosie Hanley, said the campaign celebrates “connection, memory, and the unspoken emotions that make the season truly magical”.
