A 90-year-old woman has died six days after she was struck by a reversing car, police have said.

The woman, who was hit on Albert Street West in Failsworth, Oldham, at about 15:00 GMT on 7 January, died in hospital on Tuesday.

A 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of driving offences in connection with the incident has since been bailed, said Greater Manchester Police.

An investigation is continuing into the collision. Witnesses or anyone with relevant video footage is urged to contact police.
