Wizz Air has said it is set to return to growth in 2026 after agreeing a support and compensation deal with US engine supplier Pratt & Whitney.
The London-listed airline has been hammered by the grounding of planes over engine issues, which saw its shares fall 35 per cent this year.
Wizz Air expects 40 of its Airbus A320neo aircraft to stay grounded up to 2025-26.
Pratt & Whitney will carry out the required checks, and has agreed to compensate Wizz Air and offer operational support.
Wizz Air last month revealed half-year operating profits fell by a third to £289.7million.
But it expects to return to growth in 2025-26 thanks to the action to offset the aircraft woes.

It will take delivery of 50 new A321neo planes in 2025-26, helping expand flights by a fifth.
And its target to expand passenger capacity by 20 per cent a year and have 500 planes by 2030 remains.
Wizz Air said: ‘We continue to take action to mitigate the impact of the grounded aircraft and continue to work with Pratt & Whitney to return them to operation as soon as possible.’
