While at West Ham, Gorry has used her platform to discuss motherhood in women’s football, eating disorders and going through IVF (in vitro fertilization).

“It’s an emotional time to be leaving West Ham, but I know this is the right decision for me and my family,” said Gorry, who has two young children.

“I’ve enjoyed so many incredible moments over the last two and a half years, and captaining this team has been the greatest honour.

“West Ham is a special club with an incredible fanbase that always shows up. The fans have seen so much growth and I’m proud to have been part of that journey.

“I’ve felt at home ever since I arrived. I came here with a two-year-old daughter and I’m leaving east London with an even bigger family.

“I leave a better person and a better player, and for that I’ll always be grateful.”

Last year Gorry featured in all West Ham’s WSL matches as they set their highest points tally.

In 2025-26 she has made 18 appearances in all competitions and helped Australia reach the Women’s Asian Cup final.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Mini during my time at West Ham, even if it has been for a short period of time,” said manager Rita Guarino, who joined in December.

“Her experience, resilience and desire to win have been a real asset to the club and have helped drive this team forward.”
