The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that 24-year-old Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, who was mistakenly released from HMP Wandsworth on October 29, is now back in custody.
Officers said the convicted sex offender was re-arrested on Wednesday morning after a member of the public spotted him on Blackstock Road shortly before 11.30am, ending the manhunt launched following his accidental release.
Footage obtained by Sky News showed the moment officers detained Kaddour-Cherif in north London.
