Watch the moment Nigel Farage spelled out the four-letter word that he claims will help his party storm to success in Scotland.

Speaking to a jam-packed audience of enthusiastic voters, Mr Farage gave a booming speech to mark six months before Scots head to the polls to decide who will take control of Holyrood.

Reform UK is expected to break new ground further north after a series of Westminster polling has placed Mr Farage’s party in good stead ahead of the next round of local elections next May.

The town of Falkirk, where Mr Farage is speaking today, has set the scene for lively pro- and anti-immigration protests outside a hotel housing asylum seekers.

Migrants have been housed in Cladhan Hote since 2021, spurring on local unhappiness.

Speaking to his Falkirk audience, Mr Farage flung a series of jibes at the SNP, Conservative and Labour parties.

“I could do what all the others do. I could spend the next ten minutes slagging off the other parties.

“I could tell you that the SNP care more about Gaza than Glasgow.

“I could tell you the Conservative Party have lost the will to fight. I could tell you that Labour are in freefall and deservedly so.

“But I don’t need to do that. Do you know why? The people of Scotland know it already.

“There is a huge gap in the political market. Do you know what people want? That one four-letter word?” Mr Farage, asked, beckoning a roar of provocative suggestions from audience members, to which he chuckled: “No, not that one!”

“Hope. They want hope. They want to believe,” the Brexit supremo declared.

“They want to believe they can vote for people who’ve got the courage to face up to the existing problems and the ability, as human beings with real world experience, across a wide range of sectors, to actually turn things around.”

Soon after, the Clacton MP welcomed the newest Scottish addition to his team to “take Reform UK Scotland to a new level”.

Freshly defected from the Scottish Tories, Malcolm Offord, from Greenock in the County of Renfrewshire, joined his new party leader on stage to raucous cheers.

He brings extensive political experience to Reform, having served as Minister of State for Scotland between 2021 and 2024.

Beaming, Mr Farage beamed: “I am delighted to welcome Malcolm to Reform.

“This is a brave and historic act. He will take Reform UK Scotland to a new level,” he declared.

Lord Offord said: “I am delighted to join Reform UK Scotland. We have an important election coming up in May next year.

“Scotland is crying out for a centre-right narrative to make the country prosperous once again. Scotland needs Reform and Reform is coming to Scotland,” the peer boasted as the room erupted in cheers.”
