Adlington resident and campaigner Aysha Hawcutt has hit out at plans for 20,000 new homes on green belt land in her community, as locals gathered for a mass protest.
Speaking to GB News, Ms Hawcutt said: “People are here to show their opposition to Adlington being part of the New Towns proposals.
“Adlington is the only one on the list which is opposed by not only its local MP but a cross-party council opposition, the Wildlife Trusts Council for the Protection of Rural England, and not just the local residents.”
