Hundreds of customers have reported a technical issue that has left them unable to turn on their TVs.
‘Around 8pm last night, mine went down and it still won’t turn on this morning,’ one user vented on X, while another added: ‘tv won’t turn on and is stuck in standby, with red light flashing. It’s been doing this all night.’

Sky confirmed the issue on X (formerly Twitter), writing: ‘Some Sky Glass/Stream customers are currently experiencing technical issues when trying to switch on their devices. ‘Our technical teams are working hard to fix this. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused’
The problems with Sky Glass and Sky Stream began at around 18:00 BST last night, when users began to notice that their TVs wouldn’t turn on.
Sky confirmed the issue on X (formerly Twitter), writing: ‘Some Sky Glass/Stream customers are currently experiencing technical issues when trying to switch on their devices.
‘Our technical teams are working hard to fix this.
‘We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.’
However, the outage has rumbled on for a second day, with several users continuing to report issues.
‘My Sky Glass has now been off for the best part of 11 hours. Are you able to provide an update on the fix? We pay a lot of money each month for the use of your services and understand at times faults happen, but 11 hours so far with no end in sight, it’s not good,’ one user tweeted at around 05:00 BST.

‘This happened around 18:00 for me last night and it’s still not fixed,’ one user tweeted at 08:56 BST
‘Has anyone worked yet, mine is still off,’ another questioned at 08:00 BST.
And one frustrated user vented: ‘Will be ditching Sky as soon as I can.’
Sky has apologised for the outage once again this morning, and claims to have released a fix.
‘If you’re currently still experiencing issues trying to switch on Sky Stream/Glass, please follow these steps,’ it tweeted, alongside a link to its help page.
If you have a Sky Glass TV, Sky recommends switching your TV off at the mains before pressing and holding the Standby button on the right-hand side of the TV.
Keeping your finger on the button, switch the power back on at the mains and wait until you see the LED lights flash, then remove your finger.
Let the Sky Glass TV complete the recovery process, which can take up to 15 minutes.
Finally, switch the TV back on and follow the step on screen to set up your TV.
Meanwhile, if you use a Sky Stream, Sky recommends switching it off at the mains, before pressing and holding the Standby button on the bottom of the device.
Keeping your finger on the button, switch the power on at the mains and wait until you see the LED lights flash.
Remove your finger, and let the device complete the recovery process, before switching it back on and following the on-screen steps.
‘We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused,’ Sky added.
