Defected Conservative Andrew Rosindell has warned that the UK is facing a national crisis and urged voters on the right to rally behind Nigel Farage and Reform UK.

The Reform MP criticised the Conservative Party for failing to deliver on key promises, from leaving the Human Rights Act to reversing net zero policies and tackling immigration.

He argued that successive Governments “sucked up” to left-wing agendas, leaving the country vulnerable.

He described the situation as a national emergency, saying: “This country is on a precipice, and the next election will determine whether Britain survives as a free, prosperous nation or falls victim to a coalition of Labour, the Lib Dems, and the Greens.”

According to the former chairman, the Conservative Party has repeatedly promised action and failed to deliver, creating a vacuum that Reform UK is now ready to fill, and he believes that only Nigel Farage has the credibility and experience to lead a united right-wing movement capable of preventing a political disaster.

He told Camilla Tominey on GB News: “Margaret Thatcher inspired me to go into politics, and I weep when I see what Labour is doing, and I really am frightened that the next election, if we’re not careful, if the vote splits, you could finish up with Labour, the Liberals, Greens, SNP.

“The vote will split because you’re in Reform and the Conservatives are in the Conservatives, and the right isn’t united.

“So absolutely, the vote on the right will be split.

“And because of that, and because of this reluctance to do deals or pacts or coalitions on the right, we could be faced with a prospect even worse than Starmer, or even a future Prime Minister Angela Rayner, to the right.

“And that would be a Labour-Lib Dem-Green “side order” of a Jeremy Corbyn coalition, a total disaster for our country.

“But the right must unite. As you know, I sat in this very studio with you only a few months ago and argued that the right needs to come together, and I tried.

“I went to see Kemi. ‘Please,’ I said to her ‘start talking. Build up a relationship with Nigel.’

“But the Conservative Party and Kemi particularly would have none of it.

“So I think the time has come to be honest with the British people: the choice at the next election isn’t a Conservative or a Labour Government, it’s Nigel Farage with a new political movement that’s going to put this country’s interests first, or we risk a far-left coalition.”

“So the answer is to rally now behind Nigel Farage and Reform UK.”

He added: “I do think that Reform will be the party of Government.

“And who knows if if they don’t get a complete majority, there may be unionists in Northern Ireland that would support Nigel.

There might be some Conservatives, but there won’t be enough unions. Look, we don’t know what the result of next action is going to be.

“What we do know is that the coming force is reform UK, the next prime Minister. “

“The most likely person to lead this country from the right is Nigel Farage, not Kemi Badenoch.

“So we need to be realistic. We need to put country before party and that’s what I’m trying to do.

“I think Reform UK is our best hope for the future, and Nigel Farage will be a superb prime minister because he believes in this country as I do.
