Watch the moment deputy chairman of the Conservative Party Matt Vickers rolled his eyes after a GB News presenter put his feet to the fire live on-air.

After Mr Vickers blasted Labour for hiking up fuel duty following the escalating conflict in the Middle East, Stephen Dixon stopped him in his tracks.

“It’s all well and good the Tories turning around now and effectively saying, you know, we need you know, we need to be heading for North Sea gas.

“At the end of the day, it was, you know, partly down to the Conservatives and a lot of that stopped, isn’t it? I mean, because don’t forget the old slogan vote, come on.

“‘Vote blue, go green’ was how it was all sold back in the 2000s. That was David Cameron’s slogan. You changed your logo to a tree!”

“Come on. I mean, it’s mixed messages,” he exlaimed.

At this point, Mr Vickers appeared frustrated at the question, rolling his eyes at the host.

However, he reassured Stephen he was the “first person to point out mistakes the last Government made”, adding: “But when it comes down to the green agenda, you can be green and take advantage of jobs and opportunities.

“It doesn’t mean that you absolutely trash people’s bills and force them to pay out a fortune.”
