Tom Hanks’ son shared a devastating message as his hometown of Pacific Palisades continues to be consumed by a horrifying wildfire.
Chet Hanks,34, the son of the Toy Story star and Rita Wilson, took to Instagram late Tuesday evening telling his followers to ‘pray’ for the neighborhood.
‘The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn [right now]. Pray for Palisades,’ Chet wrote on his Instagram story, alongside a prayer hand emoji.
His parents purchased a sprawling $26million, 14,513 square-foot mansion in Pacific Palisades in 2010. It is unclear if the home has been affected by the inferno.
Chet currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee as he posted in August about ‘leaving Hollywood.’
Firefighters have continued to fight the mammoth blaze in the ritzy neighborhood as nearly 30,000 residents have been forced out of the area.
Officials have warned they’re running out of water and supplies, while emergency evacuation warnings have spread as far as Malibu and Calabasas.
Tankers full of water have been dousing the inferno from the skies all afternoon, but all aircraft have now been grounded amid deteriorating wind conditions and visibility.

Residents have been warned that the worst is yet to come as the raging fire burns through more than 2,900 acres of land in Los Angeles at an extraordinary rate.
While at least 30,000 people are currently under a mandatory evacuation order, others have been warned that they should prepare to flee as new brush fires have diverted necessary resources to Pasadena and Altadena near Eaton Canyon.
A fast moving brush fire has ignited near Pasadena within the last hour, and is already occupying 400 acres of land in the area.
Pacific Palisades, where houses have already been reduced to rubble, is a celebrity enclave home to Ben Affleck, Miles Teller and his model wife Keleigh Sperry, Jhene Aiko, among other Hollywood A-listers.
Even more celebrities call Calabasas and Pasadena home, including the Kardashians.

Pratt, 41, was captured in photos as he watched the rapidly advancing fire move toward his home, which is in an area featuring many celebrity estates that are also at risk of burning.
Sources told TMZ that Spencer and Heidi’s home was completely destroyed after catching fire on Tuesday.
Luckily, the couple and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day before the flames got too close.
However, they are said to be distraught by the staggering loss.
Spencer documented firefighters’ attempts to contain the blaze with a video posted to his Instagram stories showing an airplane dropping water on a nearby mountain.

Video shot near the couple’s home shows Spencer looking somberly at the approaching flames as he stands on a hillside with a group of people, including one person who appeared to be his father.
The Hills star, who wore a black graphic T-shirt, olive-colored shorts and black trainers, brushed his eyes at one point, possibly from irritating smoke or flying debris.
The full extent of the destruction isn’t yet clear, but other homes in Spencer and Heidi’s neighborhood were likely affected by the wildfire.
Oscar-nominated actor James Woods, 77, took to X with multiple posts detailing the damage as a fast-moving wildfire in the Los Angeles hillsides was exacerbated by a fierce windstorm in Southern California.
‘Hope everybody gets out safely … leaving,’ said Woods, an Academy Award-nominee for the films Salvador (1986) and Ghosts of Mississippi Leaving (1996), accompanied by a clip of a hillside blaze.
Woods posted a series of photos and clips documenting the damage as he praised the efforts made by first responders to his 4.5 million followers.

‘We were blessed to have LA fire and police depts doing their jobs so well,’ Woods said. ‘We are safe and out. ‘There are several elementary schools in our neighborhood and there was an enormous community effort to evacuate the children safely. Can not speak more highly of the LA fire and LAPD.’
Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy, 78, dubbed the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, told the Los Angeles Times that he was caught in the gridlock of fleeing residents amid the blaze.
The actor told the paper, ‘The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames, but the smoke was very dark.’
Actor Chris Pratt, another resident of the neighborhood, asked for prayers as Los Angeles continues to burn.
‘Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires,’ he wrote on social media.
‘Thank you to the brave firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and wildlife as they battle fast-moving wildfire fueled by fierce winds.’
‘You are true heroes, and we are endlessly grateful for your sacrifice and courage.’
The National Weather Service has warned residents to expect more carnage tonight with wind gusts reaching 60 mph.
‘This will likely be the most destructive windstorm seen since 2011 windstorm that did extensive damage to Pasadena and nearby foothills of the San Gabriel Valley,’ the NWS said.
‘Any communities along Highway 118 and 210 corridors will be at highest risk for comparable wind damage.’

The winds forecast for tonight will only fan the flames of the wildfire, but also risks bringing down trees and power lines, or creating further infernos.
L.A. City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson declared a state of emergency on Tuesday afternoon amid raging wildfires.
He warned the worst is yet to come as he urged residents to stay off the roads if it is at all possible, to give emergency responders the best chance at fighting the inferno.
Los Angeles County Fire Chief Marrone also had a stern warning for residents on Tuesday night, telling them: ‘we are not out of danger.’
‘The National Weather Service has predicted that the winds are going to pick up and get worse,’ Marrone said.
‘We’re going to have the most significant wind event between 10 p.m. [PST] this evening and 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.’
