Shocking footage has emerged depicting three thieves target a jewellers in Bradford before taking off without stealing anything.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the force was called to Barkerend Road just after 11.30am on Monday, following reports of an attempted robbery.

The footage shows the balaclava-clad trio smash through the front of the store ram raid style, using a vehicle to breach the shopfront.

An alarm from inside Bradford Jewellers can be heard in the clip, as two women emerge through the smoke, seen to help each other out of the store, with one holding a baby.

Several men can then be seen emerging from inside the smashed store front, as the three intruders attempt to gain entry.

The smashed vehicle’s bumper could also be seen lying in the street.

The shop front suffered extensive damage and appeared to have completely caved in.

One man can be seen wielding what appears to be a metal baseball bat as the group flee the scene.
