The Who frontman, Sir Roger Daltrey, is set to receive his knighthood at Windsor Castle.

Sir Roger, renowned for his hits such as Baba O’Riley and My Generation, is being honoured for his services to charity and music.

The Who star launched and curated the Teenage Cancer Trust’s Royal Albert Hall concerts from 2000 to 2025, raising more than £32million for charity.

His work has led to the setting up of 28 specialist units within the NHS.

Sir Roger said he felt “deeply honoured” to have been made a knight bachelor in the King’s Birthday Honours.

The first Teenage Cancer Trust show by The Who and Friends at the Royal Albert Hall in 2000 raised more than £12million in ticket sales and revenue from a concert film and CD.

The Pinball Wizard star rose to fame in the 1960s with his mod rock band, alongside bandmates Pete Townshend, Keith Moon and John Entwistle.

Also among the individuals to be honoured are professional darts player Luke Humphries and Bridgerton actress Adjoa Andoh.

On the stage, Ms Andoh has appeared in productions including Richard II at Shakespeare’s Globe, Troilus and Cressida with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Great Expectations at the Bristol Old Vic.
