Keith Schleiger has broken his silence on his real reasons for leaving The Block.
The fan favourite Foreman left has had a reduced role on the 2024 season of the show.
The reality star, 50, has now revealed that clueless contestants were part of the reason for his departure.
‘Imagine you are a builder and you have got some contestant who has got no idea about building and you’re giving them an instruction and they tell you to get stuffed,’ he told the Your Haus & Home podcast this week.
‘All these amateurs, they have got no idea what they are doing, we are building beautiful homes for people. I never got why people would argue with me. It just did not make sense.’
Keith went on to call some contestants ‘d***heads’ and said that contestants should follow the advice of foremen, ‘no ifs or buts’.

‘I used to get grumpy on tele but there was a reason for it because I had some d***head just giving me grief and it was not warranted’ he said.
Keith earlier revealed he made the difficult decision to step back from the show after deciding the long commute times to Philip Island to film would keep him away from his two daughters.
‘I couldn’t see a way of seeing my children more than once a week or something like that,’ he told 9Entertainment.
‘I wouldn’t have been able to commute from Melbourne, I would have to live down there. It just didn’t feel it was the right thing to do at the time, I don’t really want to spend three months without them.’
Keith is married to the love of his life, Rebecca, and the couple share daughters, Ebony, 13, and Jasmine, 11.
However, Keith promised that fans would still see a bit of him on the upcoming season, as he will make a brief cameo appearance.
‘It does feel a bit weird not doing The Block so you’ll see me there for about four or five days.’
The hit Channel Nine renovation show was hit by drama as Keith confirmed he was stepping away from the series.

Schleiger, has revealed he will be making ‘irregular appearances’ on the new season for family reasons, the Herald Sun reported.
‘With The Block shooting on Phillip Island this year Keith had to step back from his full time duties because of his commitment to raising his two daughters,’ a Nine spokesperson told the publication.
‘He couldn’t come to the island for three months straight. It was literally a bridge too far’ the spokesperson continued.
‘But Block fans will be pleased to hear that he has been involved with filming for our 20th season as a special guest.’
Meanwhile, contestants on the hotly-anticipated 2025 season of The Block will certainly have their work cut out for them as a huge twist is in store.
While viewers may think they have already seen it all on the drama-packed reality TV show, the 2025 season will be injecting another never-before-seen twist.
Contestants will have to build their luxury homes completely from scratch in a new plotline that is sure to inject even more tension into the already time-pressured and stressful builds.
The 2025 season of The Block will take place in the central Victorian town of Daylesford, and they will reportedly have to use their talents to build their home from the ground up.
According to Realestate.com.au, planning documents submitted to Hepburn Shire Council include five new homes that will provide a starting-off point for contestants.
Previously, Blockheads have been tasked with renovating an existing property or, in the case of the 2022 season, renovating homes that were shipped into the Gisborne site.
According to the planning documents, contestants will be required to complete the shell of a five-bedroom floor plan, including a study, living area and a garage.
The properties will also include other lavish amenities including a covered outdoor area and a heated swimming pool.
The documents, which were submitted by Group Architects, also suggest that the five homes will be near-identical two-storey eco friendly developments.
Daylesford was set to be the site of The Block’s 2024 season, however production was eventually moved to Phillip Island following a planning dispute.
