A Texas grandmother was left heartbroken after her infant granddaughter was found dead stuffed in a tool bag and dumped in a lake in Central Texas.
The baby, identified as Peyton Sky Davis, was found on August 31 by a fisherman at Lake Fort Phantom Hill in Abilene.
The child’s mother Heather Kennedy, 20, and boyfriend, 35-year-old Donald Schulz have been arrested and are now facing charges of tampering with a human corpse.
Investigators said more charges may be filed, according to KBTX News.
The child’s grandmother Tracy Davis posted a beautiful photo of her granddaughter wearing a rose-colored onsie with the caption: ‘My beautiful granddaughter Peyton sky Davis we all love you. Rip baby girl fly high.’

Davis told the news outlet that she never had a chance to hold or see her granddaughter in-person.
‘It hurts so much. That we can’t hold her, we can’t give her the love that we shared for her,’ the devastated grandmother said.
According to Davis, Peyton’s mother would frequently do video-calls so she could see her granddaughter – but those calls abruptly ended.
She she got the gut-wrenching news from the Abilene Police Department that baby Peyton was dead.
