Terry Christian, a presenter and radio DJ best known for his work on several BBC Radio outlets, has caused widespread fury with his latest string of social media posts.

On Tuesday evening, the 65-year-old took to X to share his thoughts on the Huntingdon train attack that left 10 people injured on Saturday evening.

Police were called to a LNER train heading from Doncaster to London King’s Cross that had stopped at Huntingdon at around 8pm on Saturday night.

Anthony Williams, 32, of no fixed address, has since been charged with 11 counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a bladed article, and one count of actual bodily harm.

Since the incident occurred and more details have come to light, praise has been showered on those who went above and beyond to try and stop Mr Williams from carrying out the horrific act and attacking more people.

Among those branded heroes for their actions are football fan Stephen Crean, train driver Andrew Johnson, and railman Samir Zitouni.

But according to Mr Christian, Mr Crean’s actions, in particular, weren’t worthy of acclaim as he bizarrely mocked his bravery.

In the first of a series of “vile” posts, Mr Christian penned: “Anyone heard from witnesses on that LNER train saying how white males of fighting age were running and hiding in toilets while defenceless women and kids were outside whilst an immigrant muslim train guard almost lost his life holding that mad knifeman back?”

I’m an atheist and recovering Catholic -but since reading about the heroism of LNER staff member & life saver Samir Zitouni in the face of a psychotic knife attacker – whilst fighting age british males fled to hide in the toilets etc like many in here im drawn towards Mecca

He followed this up with another question: “Did none of the fighting age white males in the train run for it rather than fight to protect their women – was only one bloke?”

A third X post read: “Not meaning any offence – but had that knife attacker been on a train in Scotland or Ireland – how many ‘fighting age men’ would have taken the guy out within tens of seconds instead of running?

“Like the English instinct is to run away unless there’s a toff giving out orders.”

And using Mr Zitouni’s actions as a chance to point-score, Mr Christian said in a separate post: “I’m an atheist and recovering Catholic – but since reading about the heroism of LNER staff member & life saver Samir Zitouni in the face of a psychotic knife attacker – whilst fighting age british males fled to hide in the toilets etc like many in here im drawn towards Mecca.” (sic)

When angry X users responded to Mr Christian’s outbursts by lauding Mr Crean, one of the men on the train who stood up to Mr Williams, the radio DJ doubled down on his stance.

“The old bloke did well. Where was he when the train pulled into the station?” Mr Christian questioned in regards to Mr Crean.

He went on to suggest Mr Crean “hid in a bog” before he questioned his conduct in another tweet that read: “Where was he when the train pulled in again?”

Mr Christian’s opinions on the Huntingdon train attack sparked widespread outrage among X users who promptly hit back at the 65-year-old.

“What a despicable thing to say,” one X user fumed. “Terry… delete this post.”

“Mocking anyone involved in the situation that day is absolutely disgusting,” a second weighed in. “I imagine you’d have been the first one to the rescue if you were there?”

Elsewhere, a third raged: “What a vile and utterly tone deaf thing to tweet. Mocking folk for being scared and using race like this. The state of you and you’re also wrong.”

“Absolute scumbag,” a fourth X user added while a fifth similarly typed: “What on earth is wrong with you?”

And a sixth concurred: “Are you for real! In such collective human tragedy, whatever colour, race, religion… you choose white shaming & race baiting as a response.

“Now who’s the monster. Disgraceful response,” they added. (sic)
