Leigh Leopards coach Adrian Lam told Radio Manchester:
“It worked for us in the second half. We need as many points as we can [get]. That was probably a lot more than I presume we’d get but it’s nice to tick that scoreboard over.
“It’s about chasing and getting up that ladder as much as we can. Wakey got beat tonight and it’s going neck to neck right down to that final game [against them].
“It’s been a difficult year for us to be honest with you. I’m just proud of how we’ve managed to get to this point in the season and we’re starting to find a little bit of form.”
Bradford Bulls coach Kurt Haggerty said:
“It was a very tough night. We competed for 40 minutes like we have done for the majority of the season.
“We got to a point where we were so many bodies down but some of the [defence] that we tossed up wasn’t acceptable in the second half.
“We won’t feel sorry for ourselves, I won’t let the group feel sorry for ourselves. We’ve got three tasty games to go and we’ll keep scrapping.”
