A Strictly Come Dancing contestant could ‘miss’ the final after suffering a major blow.
EastEnders alum Jamie Borthwick, 30, who was previously tipped as a winner of the dancing show, endured an unpleasing setback – according to bookmakers.
As celebrities gear up to perform at the epic Blackpool Tower’s dance floor this weekend – bookies have been offering their fresh odds on who will lift the trophy.
Chris McCausland, Sarah Hadland, and Tasha Gouri are currently the three most tipped names to make it to the final, according to WalesOnline.
Comedian Chris stands out with of 1/5 odds of winning, actress Sarah has 1/3, and Love Island star Tasha 4/5 – leaving Jamie as the least favourable with 6/4 odds.
Jamie, who is partnered with pro Michelle Tsiakkas, will be battling it all out against fellow celebrities for the annual Blackpool week – and one pair will be sent home.

Betway spokeperson Mike Reading commented: ‘The latest odds to reach this year’s Strictly final make Chris McCausland and Sarah Hadland the strong frontrunners to dance their way into the last three.
‘Tasha Ghouri is next in line in the betting, priced up at 4/5 to secure a final spot, but Jamie Borthwick isn’t far behind, and we’ve shortened his odds to 6/4 to make it all the way to the last weekend of the series.’
On opera singer Wynne Evans, who is partnered up with Katya Jones, he said: ‘We’re at the halfway point of the series and as the couples pack their bags and head up to Blackpool
‘The latest odds suggest Wynne Evans might be waltzing his way out of the competition this Sunday.
‘Wynne is the odds-on favourite to go this weekend, but he may find a lifeline in Pete Wicks, who comes next in the elimination odds.
‘Pete will need to dazzle the judges with his Cha Cha to I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred if he wants to stay in the competition!’
The Betway spokeperson also discussed potential winners: ‘Meanwhile, Chris McCausland and his pro partner Dianne Buswell stole hearts last Saturday with a moving Couple’s Choice routine.
‘With that performance, Chris solidified his position as the odds-on favourite to take home the Glitterball Trophy.

Not joining the Blackpool festivities instead is Shayne Ward, who alongside partner Nancy Xu (pictured), was voted out in last week’s show in a nail-biting dance-off against Wynne and Katya
‘However, Miranda star Sarah Hadland isn’t out of the running just yet, she’s got strong support from punters and will be hoping to close the gap on Chris with her Couple’s Choice routine to Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam this week.’

Head judge Shirley Ballas made the final decision to send the former X Factor star home – a move which sparked fury from fans at home.
She delivered the casting vote after the judges were left with a split decision with both Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse opting to save Shayne and Nancy and Anton Du Beke voting for Wynne and Katya.
While Shirley acknowledged that both couples had made mistakes during their dance off performances, she reasoned that Wynne’s performance was more ‘joyous’ before choosing to save the Welsh opera singer.
