St Helens have boosted their squad before the Good Friday derby match with St Helens by signing two Hull Kingston Rovers players on short-term loan.

Bill Leyland and Jordan Dezaria have joined the Saints squad following their 52-10 thrashing at the hands of the Robins last week.

The move to bring in hooker Leyland and France prop Dezaria follows injuries to Mark Percival, Matty Lees, Jack Welsby, Jonny Lomax, Jacob Host, Nene Macdonald, Jake Burns and Alex Walmsley.

“Both players will add quality to our squad, which is severely stretched at present,” said Saints head coach Paul Rowley.

“As is often the case with loan deals, this will serve to assist all parties. It is an opportunity for the players to gain valuable match minutes, and it is a short-term strengthening of our squad.”

Deazaria joined the reigning world champions prior to the 2026 season but has yet to make his debut for them, while former London Broncos player Leyland is in his second season at Craven Park.
