Spike Lee told black men to stop drinking the Kool Aid and vote for ‘our sister’ Kamala Harris in a bizarre TV interview last night.
The award-winning movie director said on MSNBC that his brothers needed to ‘wake up’ and not ‘go for the Okie Doke’ in the presidential election next month.
Lee was answering a question on what he would say to people who are skeptical of the Democrat nominee just 15 days before Americans go to the polls.
He said: ‘It’s sad but true some of my brothers have been drinking that ‘Kool-Aid’ and I just hope that they just get their minds right in time for this election.
‘If they’re conscious, if they’re aware, there’s nothing that this other guy can do that is going to put us, not just black folks, but Americans in a better position going forward.

Lee continued: We got to wake up, you know, and don’t go for the Okie Doke. The flim-flim can’t do that.
‘We got to support our sister to be the first woman president of the United States of America and the first sister.’
He also praised the work President Barrack Obama has been doing to encourage black voters to support Harris.
Lee has previously voiced his support for the Democrat nominee and in July posted a photo of Harris filled with emojis.
He captioned the post on social media ‘ONCE AGAIN A SISTA COMES TO DA RESCUE.’
He is among a number of high-profile stars and celebrities who have endorsed her candidacy since President Joe Biden stepped aside in the summer.
Barbra Streisand previously told the New York Times: ‘I’m so grateful to President Biden and so excited to support Kamala Harris.
‘She will work to restore women’s reproductive freedom and continue with the accomplishments begun in the Biden-Harris administration.’
Actor Robert De Niro has also said the most important thing for America is ‘defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box’.

Donald Trump told WWE legend The Undertaker that he’s won the respect of one of Hollywood and wrestling’s biggest after being shot
He described Biden’s decision to step aside for Harris as an act of ‘selfless patriotism’.
It comes, however, as Trump said he had won the support of one of the biggest stars in Hollywood after fearing ‘ I never thought he liked me’.
Trump appeared on the podcast for WWE legend The Undertaker Monday when he discussed his uncertain relationship with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – and how things suddenly changed.
‘I never thought he liked me, and I felt badly, because I think he’s a terrific guy,’ Trump admitted.
Trump then explained that he received a surprise call from UFC promoter Dana White. White told him The Rock was impressed by his defiant reaction after an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, and wanted to talk.
The accolades come amid neck-and-neck polling in the race against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Johnson, who recently admitted to regretting his endorsement for President Biden over Trump in 2020, had left the door open this election by staying silent.
