Sharon Osbourne has announced her intention to attend the Unite the Kingdom demonstration scheduled for May 16 in London.

The television personality, 73, publicly declared her support beneath a social media clip posted by Tommy Robinson, writing: “See you at the march.”

Mr Robinson, whose legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, founded the English Defence League and has organised the event under his Unite the Kingdom banner.

The rally will take place at Trafalgar Square, with Mr Robinson stating in his promotional video the date marks when “Britain rises and reunites” against mass immigration and government tyranny.

The Unite the Kingdom rally last September drew crowds exceeding 100,000 people to the capital.

In his recent video, Mr Robinson expressed his ambition to “bring London to a total standstill” with this year’s event, claiming “the world was watching” after his previous gathering.

Mr Robinson urged his followers to unite in order to “get rid of the tyrants in power,” claiming supporters had endured enough mistreatment.

“They have tried to silence us for decades, but we will be silenced no more,” Mr Robinson declared in the footage.

Ms Osbourne’s announcement sparked a mixed reaction from fans, with several suggesting her late husband Ozzy would have disapproved of her stance.

One critic insisted the Black Sabbath frontman “would never allow that” had he still been alive, while another insisted: “Ozzy will be turning in his grave.”

Another added: “Did you expect anything else from her?” Someone else called this a “bad decision on all fronts”.

However, some fans voiced support for Ms Osbourne’s decision. “Omg I wanna meet her,” one supporter wrote.

“Good for her!” added another.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July last year aged 76, weeks after performing his final concert in Birmingham.
