Sentebale’s most recent accounts paint a stark picture of financial decline. Total income fell from £2.345million over 16 months in 2024 to £2.024million across 12 months in 2025, a drop the charity’s annual report attributed to “lower event income, reduced gifts in kind and lower donations from trusts and foundations.”

The collapse in event revenue was particularly dramatic, plummeting from £715,000 to just £70,000. This almost certainly reflects the end of Prince Harry’s annual polo fundraisers, which had been a reliable source of funds for the organisation.

Contributions from trusts and foundations fell from £221,000 to £85,000, while institutional funding declined from £1.7million to £1.2million. Gifts in kind, previously worth £321,000, dropped to £41,000.

Spending was cut sharply too, from £4.9million to £2.3million, with the charity citing “tightened costs control” across all its operations.
