Jeremy Clarkson has continued to add fuel to the rumour mill regarding a possible future in politics by taking a swipe at Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.
The MP for Clacton wasn’t the only politician to find himself in the former Top Gear host’s sights, who, not for the first time, also unleashed a rather damning verdict about the prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
The series of swipes came in his latest column for The Sun, which was published over the weekend, with Mr Clarkson branding Mr Starmer “thick” and accusing Mr Farage’s proposals as “not adding up”.
Mr Clarkson is no stranger to calling out the Labour government for their policies, but this marks a rare occasion that he’s saved his criticism for Reform UK also.

REUTERSHe began his less-than-favourable assessment of the two parties in his column, in which he began: “On one side, you have the Labourites, who wave their Palestinian flags around and want to throw our borders open to everyone.
“And on the other, you have the Reformists, who tie their Union Flags to lampposts and want our borders to be slammed shut.
“There’s no middle ground and there’s certainly no polite discussion.”
Mr Clarkson then proceeded to praise Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer Mel Stride’s performance at the recent Conservative Party conference.

AMAZONThe Clarkson’s Farm star, who also detailed a worrying hospital dash in another column from the weekend, applauded Mr Stride for speaking “common sense”.
Inevitably, he wasn’t too complimentary about the Tories as a whole, given their dismal performance in the polls since Labour took over, but Mr Stride earned significant plaudits from the 65-year-old.
The same couldn’t be said for Mr Farage, however, who was accused by Mr Clarkson of retreating to his “safe space” of talking about “small boats” to avoid scrutiny.
“Farage rarely talks about the economy, and when he does, his numbers don’t add up. He says he wants to cut taxes and increase spending by £150billion. Huh?” Mr Clarkson questioned.
He added: “But before anyone has the chance to question his logic, he scuttles back to his safe space and starts raging about small boats.
“Starmer, meanwhile, has no clue what to do about the economy because he’s thick. That’s why he’s broken it.”
The political swipe came just a few hours before Mr Clarkson had taken to social media to seemingly suggest he could be pursuing a political career switch himself.
On X, Mr Clarkson mused whether the constituents of Doncaster North may be looking for an alternative candidate to the current MP, Ed Miliband.

PAPutting the suggestion to his millions of fans, Mr Clarkson penned: “People of Doncaster North. Are you happy with your MP? Would you like it if someone from your neck of the woods kicked him out?”
Mr Clarkson grew up in the area and has been a vocal critic of the Net Zero Secretary’s performance and eco-centric plans for the country.
