Rangers manager Danny Rohl needs a Scottish Cup win more than Old Firm counterpart Martin O’Neill, says former Celtic striker Chris Sutton.

The Glasgow rivals meet at Ibrox for a second week in a row, this time in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Rangers led 2-0 in the Premiership encounter on Sunday, before Celtic came back to earn a draw in the second half, with both clubs chasing leaders Hearts.

Sutton says he cannot predict who will win the rematch in the cup, given both sides’ inconsistency this season, but believes despite doing “brilliantly well” Rohl is under more pressure to deliver.

“You’d think home advantage may suit Rangers with their record under Danny Rohl but the game at the weekend proved that any result is absolutely possible,” Sutton said.

“I think Danny Rohl needs it more than Martin O’Neill. The reason I say that is Martin O’Neill as a manager this season has twice come in and kept Celtic hanging on in a title race.

“The Celtic fans aren’t going blame Martin O’Neill for the mess the club has been in this season. We know where the anger and ire and blame is laid out from the Celtic support. “
