Salford City have confirmed the signing of defender Dan Scarr from Wrexham and completed a season-long loan deal for Nathan Asiimwe from Charlton Athletic.
The club say the 31-year-old Scarr has signed a “multi-year” deal at the AIG Stadium and joins for an undisclosed fee.
Scarr, who has won promotion with Wycombe Wanderers, Plymouth Argyle and Wrexham, leaves the Racecourse Ground after two years in north Wales.
“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into it,” he told the club’s website. “From speaking to the manager, the owners, I know where they want to go and I feel like that aligns with the ambitions and the moments I want to create in my career so I’m really looking forward to it.
“When you look back, they’re the moments you always remember and it gives you goosebumps looking back to those times.
“I’ve learnt that from every team I’ve been in and I’ve picked up little bits at every team I’ve been successful at. That’s what’s sculpted me into what I am now and hopefully I can bring some of those qualities here and push on.”
