Salford City defender Ade Oluwo has signed a new two-year contract with the League Two club.

The 26-year-old has played 40 games in his debut campaign for Salford after joining from Barnet last summer.

He will remain at the Peninsula Stadium until 2028, after impressing in his first season in the EFL.

“It feels amazing to sign a new deal, I’m really happy and I love it here,” he said, external.

“I feel like I’m being challenged in training every day, I’ve been pushed not just by the manager but the players as well.”

Salford finished fourth in the regular season and will now face Grimsby Town in the League Two play-offs with the first leg away to the Mariners on Sunday (15:00 BST).
