GB News presenter Stephen Dixon has slammed Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show trailer as “totally fake”, claiming the lifestyle series presents a manufactured version of the Duchess of Sussex’s daily life.
The presenter’s comments came in response to the release of the trailer for Meghan’s eight-part Netflix series, which is set to premiere on January 15.
Stephen said: “It is a load of nonsense. I mean, because it’s all totally fake, isn’t it?
“It’s not her house, it’s not her kitchen. She’s clearly doesn’t spend her days picking strawberries and collecting honey from bees. I mean, the whole thing is just a fabrication, it’s Netflix fantasy, isn’t it?”
GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker explained: ” But this is Meghan’s dream come true, isn’t it?
“Before she even met Prince Harry, her passion was sharing recipe tips, lifestyle wellness techniques because she had a blog. Quite a successful blog actually called The Tig.
“Of course, that had to be shut down when she became a working member of the Royal Family.
“We all know the turmoil that happened with Megxit, now that her and Harry have come out the other side of that and have signed multi-million pound deals with Netflix and others, this is the proof in the pudding, pardon the pun.”
Cameron added that such a lifestyle show would not have received this level of attention when she was “just an actress in suits” and not the Duchess of Sussex.
The series will feature several high-profile guests joining Meghan in her home.

Chef Roy Choi, actress and comedian Mindy Kaling, and restaurateur and activist Alice Waters are among those set to appear. The show will see Meghan and her guests “roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond,” according to Netflix.
“Whether Meghan is sharing personal tips and tricks, or taking the opportunity to learn something new, it’s a time for connection,” Netflix said.
The series aims to show how “easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected”.
The Duchess followed this with an announcement about the Netflix show, writing: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.”
She added: “Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun!”
