Sir Rod Stewart took to Instagram to pay tribute to his two sons for supporting him throughout his Glastonbury journey.
Stewart commanded the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday afternoon, delivering a spectacular performance in the prestigious Legends slot.
The veteran entertainer thrilled the huge crowd with a medley of his greatest hits, including “Maggie May”, “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” and “Sailing”.
His 90-minute set featured an impressive lineup of special guests, with appearances from Mick Hucknall, Ronnie Wood and Lulu joining him on stage.
Writing on social media on Monday morning, the 80-year-old shared a photo of his sons Alistair and Aiden enjoying the Glastonbury scene, accompanied by a heartfelt caption.
It read: “Two of my precious children at @glastofest giving their old dad support. Alistair and Aiden. Love ya boys!!”
The support was meaningful for the veteran performer, as his Glastonbury appearance came amid backlash from fellow artists following comments in a recent The Times interview, in which he appeared to express support for Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.
His show stopping set followed an earlier incident on Saturday afternoon, when Stewart was booed during the performance by Irish rap group Kneecap.

During their set, band member Mo Chara took aim at Stewart, saying: “Anybody going to see Rod Stewart tomorrow?” he asked, prompting a few cheers but a majority of boos from the Palestine flag-waving crowd.
“Oh, why the f*** – did I miss something?” Chara sarcastically responded to the boos. “I mean, the man is older than Israel!”
As laughter emerged from the Kneecap crowd, audience members were urged to “Google it” before the group delivered a parting jibe: “Rod the Prod.”
Singer Kate Nash also took a jab at the star, during her Saturday night performance.

The Foundations hitmaker dedicated her song “Why You Being A D***head For” to multiple targets, declaring: “F*** Rod Stewart.
She declared: “This one goes out to Keir Starmer, JK Rowling, Rod Stewart and Nigel f***** Farage.”
However, the backlash didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the massive crowd, who gathered under soaring temperatures to witness the legendary performer’s show.
The performance included a touching tribute to the late Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, who passed away in November 2022, with her image projected on the big screen for the entire festival to see.
Stewart’s rendition of “Maggie May” sparked the largest sing-along of the afternoon, despite an apparent early start to the song.
