Revolut is set to launch its first branded airport lounge as the fintech expands beyond its digital roots.
The London‑headquartered company has chosen Copenhagen Airport for its inaugural venue, which is expected to open in 2027.
The bank is partnering with Plaza Premium Group, operator of a large international lounge network, to deliver the new facility.
Revolut said the Copenhagen lounge will be the largest common‑use lounge in the Schengen area.
It will be the company’s first proprietary airport lounge, although Revolut already provides customers with access to more than 1,600 lounges worldwide.
Hadi Nasrallah, head of New Bets at Revolut, described Copenhagen as the “perfect fit” for the company’s first lounge in a key growth market.
He said airport lounges “tend to underwhelm” and that Revolut aims to bring its design ethos into a physical space to “set a new standard for airport hospitality across Europe”.
The launch comes as Revolut continues to expand in the Nordic region, where it has around two million customers.

Revolut’s move into airport hospitality places it alongside established financial brands that have developed physical spaces for customers, including American Express through its Centurion Lounge Network.
The Copenhagen lounge follows Revolut’s opening of its first physical store in Barcelona earlier this year.
The company described the store as a “high‑visibility, immersive space” rather than a traditional bank branch, saying it reflected the type of physical venture “any other lifestyle brand would do”.

Revolut has also expanded its physical and lifestyle benefits through partnerships, including an agreement with WeWork to give premium subscribers limited access to shared office locations across Europe.
Reports this week suggested several WeWork sites, including locations in London and Edinburgh, had been removed from the arrangement.
Founded in 2015, Revolut now has around 75 million customers worldwide and processes more than one billion transactions each month.
Revolut recorded £4.2billion in revenue over the past year, a 46 per cent increase on the previous period. Subscription services were the fastest‑growing part of the business, with revenue rising 67 per cent year on year to £708million.
The company has expanded its subscription offering with additional benefits, including mobile plans, and recently introduced a ChatGPT partnership to replace its previous Perplexity Pro feature.
Revolut is also involved in a secondary share sale expected to value the company at $115billion, up from $75billion last November.
The company has continued to grow its UK banking operations after securing its banking licence earlier this year, ending a three‑year wait for full approval.
The Copenhagen airport lounge forms part of Revolut’s broader strategy to increase the number of services and experiences available to customers beyond its core digital banking platform.
The company said the new venue will offer an additional benefit to customers travelling through Europe when it opens in 2027.
