Rachel and Kit initially got fans excited about their upcoming show back in April when they posted the respective letters R and J on their social media pages.
Connor posted the letter R, while Zegler posted the letter J, with interlocking halves of an addition sign on their posts.
Both geotagged the posts as Verona, the location of the Shakespearean story.
A trailer was then released in May, showing a spin on the timeless production that sees the two lead stars in modern day suburbia.
Earlier in the evening prior to the performance Rachel put on a delicate and demure display in a strapless yellow Dior dress.
Zegler’s A-line frock, styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley, boasted embroidered florals throughout.
The dark-haired beauty punctuated the outfit with yellow, open-toe, Dior heels that exposed her nude pedicure.
For his part, Kit wore a tailored navy blue Emporio Armani suit, white shirt, and black and white patterned tie.
