A catering business owner has branded Rachel Reeves “England’s biggest liar” as she launched a scathing attack on the Chancellor’s treatment of Britons.

Speaking to GB News host Patrick Christys as part of a People’s Channel Leeds special, Lorraine Campbell admitted she fears “losing her livelihood” as a result of Labour policy.

Asked by Patrick whether she believes Rachel Reeves is “working for Britons”, Ms Campbell disagreed: “She’s one of England’s biggest liars.

“She lied about the black hole when she said that pensioners wasn’t getting any heating last year, and there was talk about doing away with the bus pass.”

Revealing Ms Reeves’s nickname in her constituency of West Leeds and Pudsey, Ms Campbell said: “We call her Rachel Hood because she’s robbing from the poor and giving massively to the rich.

“If you’ve got a few bob, it don’t matter what goes up, the petrol, the diesel, whatever. But if you’re 73 or younger or older than I am, every penny counts today.”

Highlighting the impact on the local market traders where she is based, Ms Campbell revealed that some are forced to “get taxis” to work because of the soaring petrol costs.

She told Patrick: “The people here might not take their rent today. Some people have to come in taxis, because the cost of diesel and petrol going up every day, they have to come in a taxi.

“So whatever little bits they’ve got to sell, it’s really panicky. You go and talk to anybody and they’ve got that look of a wild horse in their eyes.”

Asked what the Labour Government could do to make her “life happier”, Ms Campbell argued Sir Keir Starmer should “bow out gracefully” and “give Nigel Farage a go”.

She stated: “This is not a hobby, this is our livelihood. When I say I, I speak for we. I’ve been trying to keep my husband alive and run a business at the same time.

“And the only thing I could think they could do is bow out gracefully and give Nigel Farage the position. He’s the only man that can save us.”

Asked by Patrick what the future of her business would look like if Labour’s policies were to continue for the next few years, Ms Campbell became emotional.

She admitted: “It would mean that I wouldn’t be in business and well, I feel tearful. I know that I won’t be on the market for a long time.

“My accountant said, Lorraine, it’s not your hobby, your expenditure is far exceeding what’s coming in, and you’re propping it up with your pension. And my pension is the one from the Government that they keep squeezing.”

Hitting out at how business owners are being treated, Ms Campbell said that working Britons are being “punished” by the Labour Government for working hard.

She told Patrick: “My husband and I, we’ve worked since we’ve been 13, because I come from a fairground family, so you’re taught morals, manners and to work hard and to help people. And people genuinely haven’t got any money.

“We can’t be mother and father to everybody, but the Government’s making it that. People haven’t got anything.”

She concluded: “It seems as though we’re being punished for working hard, it’s like we’re naughty.

“Because if you’ve worked hard and you’ve not broke the law, you’ve done what you should do, they can take it off you because you’ve worked for it.”
