Queen Mary has returned to Denmark but continued her separation from King Frederik.
The Queen of Denmark, 52, and her daughter Princess Josephine, 13, attended the Hubertus Hunt at Eremitage Castle on Sunday.
King Frederik, 56, and the couple’s three other children, Prince Christian, 19, Princess Isabella, 17, and Prince Vincent, 13, were nowhere to be seen.
Mary’s return to Denmark comes after a brief holiday to her home country, Australia, alongside Josephine.

The 52-year-old was pictured jogging and swimming as she relaxed ahead of the busy Christmas period.
The holiday also landed on the year anniversary of her husband’s ‘affair scandal’ that rocked the Danish monarchy.
In 2023, the Spanish magazine Lecturas published photographs of Frederik in Madrid with Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova.
Despite originally saying nothing about the rumours, the Danish Royal Family later released a short statement to the Danish publication B.T.

They said they “do not comment on rumours or insinuations”.
King Frederik and Queen Mary both personally stayed silent about the allegations.
After the pictures in the Spanish magazine were published, Casanova claimed the “malicious” rumours of an “affair” were false.
The Mexican socialite posted a legal letter on Instagram, where she threatened legal action against the magazine.

Amber Petty, Mary’s bridesmaid from her 2004 wedding, refused to comment or “go anywhere near” the scandal, she told The Mail.
A communications expert told B.T. that the Danish Royal Family were not concerned by the rumours.
According to the publication, the royals considered the allegations a “breeze” as opposed to a storm.
In January 2024, Mary and Frederik were photographed kissing on the balcony of Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, after a declaration on the accession to the throne by the Danish Prime Minister.
