Representatives for Sarah Ferguson have rejected allegations that she received a “monumental snub” from Queen Camilla, dismissing reports that the Queen rebuffed a proposed literary collaboration.

The denial follows Fergie’s loss of her Duchess of York title last week, occurring alongside the scandal surrounding her former husband, Prince Andrew and his associations with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Whilst Andrew has relinquished his Duke of York title amidst mounting pressure, Fergie will now be known simply as Sarah Ferguson rather than holding royal rank.

The couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will maintain their royal titles despite their parents’ changed circumstances.

Andrew, who “vigorously denies the accusations” against him, is expected to voluntarily leave his £30million Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park in the near future, which he shares with Sarah.

Reports in the Mail alleged that Fergie approached Queen Camilla about collaborating on her forthcoming children’s book, Flora & Fern: Kindness Along The Way.

Sarah was thought to have suggested working with the Queen to promote her latest publication through the Queen’s Reading Room.

“Before being sacked as a Duchess, Sarah Ferguson suffered a monumental snub from Queen Camilla,” the publication alleged.

Whilst it is true that Sarah’s literary works have never featured on the Queen’s recommended reading lists since the Reading Room’s establishment in 2021, her spokesman has firmly refuted the reports.

A representative for Fergie, speaking to the Mirror, categorically denied both the alleged collaboration proposal and any snub from the Queen.

Sarah has built a substantial career as an author over recent years, writing romantic fiction alongside children’s literature.

She has previously marketed items such as fountain pens and food blenders whilst developing her literary pursuits.

Her latest work, Flora and Fern: Kindness Along The Way, is a picture book centred on themes of “kindness and community at its heart”.

The publication follows the adventures of its two main characters, Flora and Fern, and represents Sarah’s continued focus on children’s literature despite the recent upheaval in her personal circumstances.

Queen Camilla’s Reading Room was established in 2021 as an online platform dedicated to championing literature and promoting the benefits of reading.

The initiative has since evolved into a charity, with its official website stating its mission to “celebrate and promote the power and benefits of reading”.

The Queen has shared personal reflections about how books have “enriched” her life from childhood, praising their “extraordinary power to educate and inspire”.

“It has therefore been such a joy to watch my Reading Room grow over the years into a thriving book community,” the Queen stated.

She expressed hope that the charity would “foster in adults and children alike a lifelong love of literature and connect more people with that special magic that can only be found in the leaves of a book”.
