The Championships at Wimbledon commence on Monday, June 29, with the Princess of Wales expected to attend in her capacity as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The fortnight-long tournament, widely regarded as tennis’s most prestigious event, will culminate with the ladies’ singles final on Saturday, July 11 and the gentlemen’s final the following day.

Royal enthusiasts will be watching closely for Catherine’s appearance in the famous Centre Court Royal Box, where Princess Charlotte has also been spotted in recent years.

The tournament attracts approximately half a million spectators annually, making it one of Britain’s largest sporting occasions.

Anna Byers, Head of Bespoke Design at 77 Diamonds, Europe’s largest online diamond jeweller, anticipates the princess will favour understated accessories for her Wimbledon appearances this year.

“The Princess of Wales, who serves as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, can be expected to choose minimalist jewellery to complete her Wimbledon look,” Ms Byers told GB News.

During last year’s gentlemen’s final, Catherine paired simple stud earrings with her Ballon Bleu Cartier watch, a treasured present from Prince William.

Ms Byers suggests the princess may wear the timepiece again this summer, or potentially select a bold gold bangle as an alternative.

Since her return to official engagements in 2024, the princess has consistently chosen a distinctive blue and gold torque bangle for her Wimbledon visits.

“Since returning to royal duties in 2024, Kate has repeatedly worn a blue and gold torque bangle to Wimbledon, so it would not be a surprise if it made another appearance,” Ms Byers noted.

The jewellery expert’s predictions reflect Catherine’s established preference for elegant yet restrained pieces that complement rather than overshadow her outfits at the SW19 tournament.

Her accessory choices have become a point of interest for fashion observers who track the princess’s style evolution at major public events.

On the court, this year’s Championships promise considerable drama with Serena Williams making her professional singles return after a four-year absence.

The American tennis legend, now approaching her mid-forties, faces formidable competition from defending champion Iga Swiatek and world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

Italian Jannik Sinner returns to defend his 2025 title, though two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz will be absent from the grass courts.

British hopes rest with Jack Draper, who now has two-time Wimbledon winner Andy Murray in his corner as coach. Emma Raducanu also enters in promising form, having reached the Queen’s final recently.
