Photographs capturing Princess Charlotte’s emotional reaction to her mother finishing the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge have melted the hearts of royal supporters across social media.
Kensington Palace released images on Sunday showing the Princess of Wales embracing her family following the demanding 24-hour trek she completed last weekend alongside her brother James Middleton.

Another commented: “These pics should have come with a warning…now a lot of us are sobbing.”
“Aww, Princess Charlotte is making me emotional,” a third fan added.
Others praised the young royal’s evident pride in her mother’s achievement, with one writing: “Ah, she looks so emotional and so proud of her mum, well, she should be.”

Additional photographs from the reunion showed Catherine embracing Prince William, Prince George and Prince Louis, while a family portrait included her parents Carole and Michael Middleton.
The future queen conquered Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours, completing the feat with Mountain Rescue teams providing support throughout the route.
Catherine undertook the challenge to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the same facility where she underwent preventative chemotherapy treatment in 2024.
Kensington Palace posted the images on Sunday with the message: “This time last week, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everybody who has supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.”

The princess described the organisation as “very dear to me” and expressed her wish to give something back following her recovery.
Catherine’s motivation extended beyond fundraising, with the princess seeking to highlight the significance of holistic healthcare and explore what life looks like following a serious diagnosis.
In a video recorded before embarking on the trek, she stated: “I’m so grateful to be here, to be strong enough to walk these hills.”
During her ascent of Scotland’s highest peak, Catherine met Ted, an 11-year-old wheelchair user who was tackling the same challenge to raise money for Molly Olly’s Wishes.
The princess later contributed to his fundraising page, describing the encounter as “one of the real highlights” of her journey.
