Dara Huang has indicated that her son, Wolfie, will be spending Christmas in Florida this year, which means he will not join the Royal Family gathering at Sandringham.

In a post shared to her Instagram story on December 23, Ms Huang uploaded a picture showing Wolfie at a Florida mini golf course with an on-screen caption reading “Florida Christmas”.

The update places Wolfie in the United States in the days immediately preceding Christmas and indicates that he spends the festive period with his mother.

Wolfie, nine, is the son of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Ms Huang.

Mr Mapelli Mozzi married Princess Beatrice in July 2020, and Wolfie has since been a regular presence in the family’s public life.

The nine-year-old has attended Sandringham in recent years.

In 2022, he made his first appearance at the Royal Family Christmas Day outing at St Mary Magdalene Church, where he joined Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi for the annual walk to church.

He was also at Sandringham last year. Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi were among the royals who attended the Christmas Day church service in 2024, with Wolfie included in coverage of the morning at Sandringham.

The Florida update comes amid fresh claims about Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s own plans.

The Sun reported this week that the couple are planning a skiing holiday abroad over Christmas rather than joining the King at Sandringham.

The report was framed as a decision to avoid a difficult choice between family invitations.

No official confirmation has been issued about whether Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi will attend Sandringham this year.

However, Ms Huang’s post makes clear that Wolfie is spending Christmas in Florida, which would rule him out of the Norfolk gathering regardless of the couple’s wider travel plans.

Royal Christmas at Sandringham traditionally centres on a private family stay at the estate, followed by the walk to St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas morning.

Attendance is often scrutinised because it can reflect wider family arrangements and competing commitments, particularly for relatives who balance time between different households.

Wolfie’s presence in both 2022 and 2024 had been noted as part of Princess Beatrice’s blended family life.

The 2022 appearance was widely covered as his first Sandringham Christmas with the Royal Family.

The nine-year-old is also regularly described as being closely involved in Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s family life.

Any decision by Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi to spend Christmas abroad would be a change from recent years, when they have attended Sandringham alongside other members of the family.
