Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi joined his work’s Christmas Party just a day after skipping the Royal Family’s Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.

Princess Beatrice’s husband confirmed he is returning from Los Angeles following his trip abroad for work commitments.

During his time overseas, Edoardo has posted a series of photos of interior design and architectural work.

The father of two is the founder and CEO of Banda Property, a firm specialising in interior design and property management.

At the Christmas Party, Edoardo took a moment to give the end-of-year speech to employees.

His absence marked an unusual departure from recent years, as the property developer typically accompanies Beatrice to royal engagements ranging from Royal Ascot to church services at Sandringham.

Twelve months earlier, Beatrice arrived at the same event with her husband behind the wheel.

She had been expecting their daughter Athena at the time, who is now ten months old.

Their daughter Sienna, now four, had also been present in the vehicle, seated in the back alongside her half-brother Christopher Woolf, nine, Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s son from his previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.

The couple recently marked their daughter Athena’s christening with a trip to a Marylebone pub alongside loved ones.

The ceremony took place at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace before the family headed to celebrate.

Photographers captured the couple emerging from a taxi in the area, carrying what looked to be a christening cake as guests surrounded them.

Singer James Blunt was spotted among those invited to join the post-ceremony festivities.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were present, as was Princess Nina of Greece and Denmark, who serves as a godmother.

King Charles did not attend despite receiving an invitation and having no official duties scheduled for the day.

Beatrice attended this year’s Christmas lunch alongside her sister, Eugenie, while their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was snubbed by King Charles.

The monarch took the unprecedented steps to remove his younger sibling’s royal titles at the end of October. He served him notice on his lease at Royal Lodge due to his links with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Beatrice and Eugenie beamed as they arrived at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the festive period with the King and other members of the royal family.

They were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, who were spotted arriving with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the back of their car. Prince George was also in attendance.

Prince Edward and the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, were seen arriving at the Palace alongside their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor.

Andrew was pictured riding a horse in bad weather on the day of the lunch, rather than attending the royal gathering, in the latest blow to the disgraced 65-year-old.
