Prince William’s secret visit to a Windsor pub has led to a surge in interest after his appearance on Apple TV’s The Reluctant Traveler was broadcast in early October.

The Prince of Wales and Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy shared a drink at The Two Brewers back in February, with the encounter captured for the streaming series.

Stuart O’Brien, who owns the establishment, has revealed that business has picked up considerably since the episode went out.

“Just a little bit. Just a smidge,” he joked, before adding: “But yes! A lot of people coming in, a lot of tourists come in because they’ve seen the show.”

Visitors to the pub, situated near Windsor Castle’s Cambridge Gate, have been eager to sit in the exact booth where the heir to the throne and the Emmy-winning actor were filmed.

“At the moment, we’re kind of calling it ‘the future King’s corner’ for just a bit of a laugh, and then we’ll upgrade it to ‘the King’s corner’ as and when,” Stuart explained.

“But yeah, ‘the royal table,’ or ‘the future King’s corner,’ as people like to say.”

The booth now features a photograph of William and Levy from the filming, displayed above a commemorative plaque marking the occasion on February 4 2025.

A second image of the prince has been mounted above the bar.

Following the conclusion of filming, Stuart requested a photograph with the Prince of Wales, who readily agreed. William did, however, have one condition regarding its placement.

“As long as it goes directly in the middle,” William stipulated, referring to a blackboard displaying the pub’s history.

Stuart admitted he hasn’t quite honoured that request: “I said, ‘Okay, I’m sure I can arrange it,’ but it’s over here [to the left of the board], not quite in the middle.”

The Two Brewers has also benefited from additional exposure through Gogglebox, the popular Channel 4 programme.

“We’re also mentioned on a British show called Gogglebox, which is on one of the channels, which is huge in England,” Stuart noted. “It’s been really good for business. Really good for business.”

For Stuart, the most memorable moment came when William addressed him personally before taking his seat alongside Levy.

“He’s so down-to-earth. So normal,” Stuart reflected on his encounter with the Prince. “And that’s what they are. They’re human beings at the end of the day. Just because they have a title, they’re human and they have lives as well.”

The pub owner emphasised that despite their elevated public profile, the royals remain grounded individuals.

“It might just be a bit more high profile than most people,” Stuart added to Hello. “But at the end of the day, they are still normal, family people and that’s brilliant.”
