Prince William has visited Centrepoint’s new London headquarters to celebrate twenty years as the youth homelessness charity’s Patron.
During the occasion, the Prince of Wales worked alongside staff members and young people who have benefited from Centrepoint’s support.
He contributed to the creation of a new artwork titled the ‘Wall of Hope’, a collaborative mural developed by young people together with artist Lanré Olagoke MBE.
The completed piece will honour the organisation’s history and its goal of eliminating homelessness among young people.

The patronage represents one of William’s longest charitable commitments, inherited from his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who first took on the role in 1992.
The mural’s co-creator, Lanré Olagoke, is a self-taught artist who has personal experience of homelessness.
He received an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours in 2024, recognised for his efforts in opening up artistic opportunities to young people.
The visit also marked William’s continued engagement with the charity, having attended one of its services earlier this year in January.

Research published by Centrepoint in November indicated that approximately 23,500 young people may face homelessness during the winter months.
The charity’s helpline reached a significant milestone in October, assisting its 50,000th caller less than eight years after William officially launched the service.
Centrepoint has become a key partner in the prince’s Homewards initiative, providing advice to The Royal Foundation on the programme’s design and offering ongoing guidance as it develops.
Today’s royal engagement is the first public appearance the Prince of Wales has made since attending Kate’s Christmas Carol Service last Friday.

Princess Kate was joined by Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at Westminster Abbey for the fifth annual Together At Christmas Carol Service.
The Princess of Wales spearheaded this year’s event, which received backing from The Royal Foundation.
This year’s service centred on celebrating love in its many forms, from familial bonds and friendships to community spirit and acts of kindness between strangers.
The congregation of 1,600 guests included individuals from throughout the United Kingdom who have given their time to support others, launched community-building projects, or extended help to those in need.
