Prince William and Princess Kate continue to dominate royal popularity rankings, with fresh polling data from YouGov showing between 74 and 77 per cent of the British public holding favourable views of the couple.

Released Friday morning, the survey reveals that attitudes towards most senior royals have remained largely unchanged since October.

However, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has recorded her worst-ever result in the tracker, with just 19 per cent of Britons viewing her positively.

Two-thirds of respondents expressed negative opinions about Prince Harry’s wife, who is reportedly planning her first UK visit since 2022 this summer.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has meanwhile sunk to his lowest-ever rating, with a mere three per cent of the public viewing the disgraced former royal favourably.

Nine in 10 Britons now hold negative opinions of the former disgraced duke, following his removal from royal duties and honorary military positions last year.

The stripping of his titles came after fresh allegations emerged regarding his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

While most of the public ultimately supported King Charles’s decision to act, the majority also felt the monarch had been too slow in responding to the controversy surrounding his younger brother.

King Charles III retains solid public backing, with six in 10 Britons expressing positive views of the monarch compared to roughly three in ten who see him unfavourably.

Princess Anne continues to enjoy strong support, with 70 per cent of the public holding a good opinion of the Princess Royal.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also fare well, with approximately half of Britons viewing Prince Edward and Sophie positively.

Queen Camilla, however, has experienced a modest decline in her standing, with 42 per cent now viewing her favourably – the lowest figure YouGov has recorded since March 2021.

NETFLIX

Some 45 per cent of respondents hold unfavourable opinions of the Queen, up four points since October.

Despite the turbulence of 2025, broader support for the monarchy remains resilient, with 64 per cent of Britons believing the country should continue to have a royal head of state.

Around a quarter of the public would prefer an elected alternative.

Andrew has also sunk in terms of popularity in the Royal Family

Nearly six in 10 view both the Royal Family and the institution of the monarchy favourably, though a persistent third hold negative opinions.

Half of those surveyed consider the royals good value for money, while a third disagree.

Close to half of Britons say they feel outright pride in the monarchy, with just 19 per cent expressing embarrassment about the institution.
