Prince Louis charmed royal watchers yesterday as he copied his grandfather King Charles’ wave during the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance at Trooping the Colour.

The seven-year-old was spotted glancing at the King for guidance before mimicking his regal gesture to the crowds below.

During a lull of the Royal Family’s iconic balcony appearance, King Charles decided to resume waving and caught the attention of the young Prince.

Louis turned to look at his grandfather waving and quickly mimicked the gesture as other members of the family grinned and joined in.

The enthusiastic young royal continued to wave to gathered crowds even after other members of the Royal Family began to retire indoors.

In a cheeky gesture, Louis stole one last wave just as he was ushered out of view by his mother.

The sweet balcony moments, especially between grandfather and grandson, delighted onlookers gathered along The Mall for the monarch’s official birthday celebrations.

Louis stood in a prime position at the front of the balcony between his grandfather and father.

He appeared delighted during the display, conversing with his family and turning to speak with Prince William during the flypast.

Louis quickly mimicked Charles’ wave to the crowd.

Louis also shared a sweet moment with his older brother, Prince George, during earlier procession down The Mall.

The two brothers rode alongside their sister, Princess Charlotte, and mother, Princess Kate, in an open top Ascot Landau carriage.

While they progressed from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards, an eagle-eyed lip reader spotted a heartwarming moment between Louis and George.

Louis was seen turning to his brother to ask: “Should I wave?”

“It’s up to you,” his brother was observed responding, the lip reader told The Sun.

Louis continued to greet the crowds as the Royal Family retired and even stole one last wave as he went indoors.

After the proceedings, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a sweet behind-the-scenes family photo to social media.

In the pic, the Waleses were seen together in their Trooping the Colour finery reunited after their various duties and balcony appearance.

On Sunday, George, Charlotte and Louis also issued a heartfelt Father’s Day message to Prince William.

“Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L,” they wrote.

The trio signed off the post with their first name initials and a gleaming love heart emoji.

In the first image shared alongside the message, they could be seen posing with William with his arms around them against a charming garden backdrop. The second, posted in black and white, showed the three children embracing their father as they rolled around amongst long grass and daffodils.
