Prince Louis’ name was spelt incorrectly in a major blunder when Prince William received gifts for his children during his first day in Brazil.
The Prince of Wales was presented with personalised football jerseys for his three children during his official trip.
Inside the iconic Maracanã Stadium, William received Fluminense shirts customised with his children’s names.
However, the youngest Wales child’s jersey featured an amusing error, with “Loui” instead of “Louis”, as reported by Hello!.

Prince William is in Brazil to attend the fifth annual Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony.
Elsewhere during his first day in Rio, William demonstrated his football skills in a penalty shootout with youngsters from Rio’s favelas.
He successfully scored while receiving enthusiastic chants of “William, William!” from the eight to 12-year-olds.
The children surrounded the Prince with embraces and high fives after he beat the 14-year-old goalkeeper.
The royal visitor also met Brazilian football icon Cafu, who presented him with an autographed jersey bearing the champion’s name and famous number two.
William expressed his admiration in both Portuguese and English, saying “Obrigado!” and telling the 2002 World Cup winner: “It’s an honour. We’ve all seen how your feet work.”
The Prince described himself as a “football fan” rather than an “athlete” and asked whether Cafu knew of Aston Villa, his preferred club.
The engagement formed part of Terra FC’s initiative, which aims to rally millions of Brazilian football supporters behind climate action by encouraging participation from clubs, fans and government bodies.
William met with community leaders and youth from local football programmes that provide secure, welcoming environments for young people to develop resilience and access mental health resources.
The Prince addressed participants aged 18 to 30 from Brazil, Singapore and South Africa, alongside 17 younger attendees from Mini COP, a climate conference for 11 to 17-year-olds.
He emphasised his desire to listen rather than dictate, stating: “What I don’t want to do is tell any of you what to do.”
William shared his paternal concerns before departing for Brazil, revealing to Hello!: “As a father, I think constantly about the world my children will inherit.
“I want them to grow up surrounded by nature, opportunity and a sense of hope about the future. But I also know that unless we act boldly now, that future is at risk.”
He described the Earthshot Prize as a means of “turning the tide” and “proving to our children that we are willing to fight for their tomorrow.”
The Prince expressed his ambition for the young innovators to achieve recognition as “household names” for their environmental solutions.
“It’s not my Earthshot, it’s your Earthshot. It’s a platform for you guys to get bigger and better,” he told the assembled leaders, adding: “That’s what I hope will be our legacy.”
