Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is said to have been “ranting to himself” while Sarah Ferguson stays in “The Doghouse” bar as the pair get set to leave Royal Lodge.

Buckingham Palace announced last week that the former prince will have all of his royal titles stripped and vacate the property on the Windsor estate, over his links to late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

With the duo due to leave Royal Lodge in the new year, Andrew and Fergie have been making the most of their final days at their home of over 20 years.

The Sun reports the pair have been sleeping at opposite ends and only meeting for meals to discuss how the walls have caved in around them.

A source said: “They are both spending a lot of time alone. Andrew rarely goes out and has been padding around the lodge and ranting and muttering.”

Ms Ferguson, on the other hand, has been tucked away in the purpose-built bar called The Doghouse, situated behind the mansion.

Sources say Fergie has been speaking out to friends and staff, who she has asked to stay extra hours to keep her company in the on-site pub.

When the disgraced royals do meet, they discuss their futures and their safety, thanks to Andrew’s links to Epstein.

The former duke has consistently denied all allegations against him in relation to Epstein, with the Metropolitan Police previously considering that the sex assault claims against Andrew were not sufficient to warrant further investigation.

Ms Ferguson is reportedly struggling with the turmoil and is concerned about the future of their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

She is said to be anxious about where she will live next, although she knows that it will not be with Andrew.

The former prince has lived at Royal Lodge for over two decades with Fergie, despite their divorce nearly 30 years ago.

Andrew received a letter on Thursday from Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee, saying they believe he holds important information about people with links to Epstein.

It read: “The committee is seeking to uncover the identities of Mr Epstein’s co-conspirators and enablers, and to understand the full extent of his criminal operations.

“Well-documented allegations against you, along with your long-standing friendship with Mr Epstein, indicate that you may possess knowledge of his activities relevant to our investigation.

“In the interest of justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, we request that you cooperate with the committee’s investigation by sitting for a transcribed interview with the committee.”

It outlines Andrew’s “close relationship” with Epstein and references a recently revealed email exchange from the pair in 2011.

In the thread, the former duke told Epstein: “We are in this together.”

The committee said this “further confirms our suspicion that you may have valuable information about the crimes committed by Mr Epstein and his co-conspirators”.

The US Congress requested a response by November 20.
