Andrew Mountbatten Windsor could make the move to Abu Dhabi, as the 65-year-old may attempt to escape the public eye.

He has been served notice on his lease at Royal Lodge and will now move to a private residence on King Charles’s Sandringham Estate.

However, experts have claimed that the disgraced former Duke of York will now look to move abroad to escape scrutiny over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew is a friend of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after they met in 2001 when he was a trade envoy.

His potential new home has intense security, as revealed by The Sun.

The home has six en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms, an indoor gym, pool, cinema, and a sizeable kitchen.

The mansion sits on a heavily guarded complex, which is home to five other palaces where a royal sheikh and government ministers live.

A government-appointed guard operates the barrier to keep the public out, and a second guard makes sure any visitors have valid credentials to enter the estate.

Royal commentator Andrew Morton told Times Radio: “I would predict that, if we’re speaking about this time next year, Andrew will probably live somewhere abroad.”

A worker at one of the palace said: “The whole area is private and very secure. The public are not allowed in and there are cameras which log every vehicle which approaches.

“The area is effectively under the radar. We have not heard anything official yet about Andrew moving in but he would enjoy it here because it is very private.”

In 2011, it was revealed that Andrew had received gifts from the emirates royal family, which included expensive jewellery for his daughter, Beatrice.

In another humiliating turn of events for the disgraced former duke, he is set to be stripped of his honorary rank of vice-admiral.

He was given the title on his 55th birthday in 2015 and retained the rank after giving up the rest of his titles in 2022.

The announcement was made by the Defence Secretary, John Healey revealed to the BBC: “In general, the Government’s been guided by the decisions and judgments the King has made.

“In defence, it’s exactly the same. And we’ve seen Andrew surrender the honorary positions he’s had throughout the military, and guided again by the King, we are working now to remove that last remaining title of vice-admiral that he has.”

When he was asked about whether he would lose his military medals, Mr Healey said they were “medals for his service.”

Adding: “I don’t have an update for you on that, but just as with his vice-admiral rank and title, we would be guided by the decisions the King makes.”
