Furious Britons have delivered their verdicts on Sir Keir Starmer ahead of his crunch address to MPs later today.

Speaking to GB News, the public voiced their outrage at the Peter Mandelson vetting scandal, with one declaring he is “toast”.

The Prime Minister will take to the dispatch box on Monday afternoon to clarify details on exactly what he knew and when regarding the disgraced peer.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has penned an angry letter to Sir Keir, branding him “recklessly negligent” and “dishonest”.

In the letter to Sir Keir, she said: “This has been a tawdry and shaming affair for you and your party, and for this country.

“Not only have you damaged our relationship with the United States and insulted the victims of the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, but you have also undermined our national security by giving the highest diplomatic post to an individual that the security services found to be of ‘high concern’.

“Instead of another round of blaming everyone else and demeaning the office of Prime Minister, I trust we can look forward to a frank statement in which you will take due responsibility.”

Delivering their verdict on Sir Keir’s future as Prime Minister ahead of his address, one Briton offered a blunt declaration to GB News.

The Briton said: “I think he’s toast. He’s either lied or he’s incompetent. Either way, he’s got to go.”

In an equally negative stance on the Prime Minister, another person said: “He’ll hold on for dear life.

“A terrible, awful, boring man. Nothing else to say.”

In a more positive outlook on the PM’s future in office, one Briton admitted he “doesn’t mind” Sir Keir as the nation’s leader.

He said: “I mean it’s not looking rosy for him, but I don’t mind him, to be honest.”

Another man argued that although Sir Keir “should go”, he will “dig his heels in” and refuse to resign.

The Briton told GB News: “He should go, but he won’t, in fact he’s going to dig his heels in and refuse to go.

“I don’t think he can get out of the hole, but I don’t think he’s going to resign either.”

Criticising the Labour Government as a whole, one lady admitted that she “can’t trust” them in their entirety, not just the Prime Minister.

She said: “I think regardless of whoever goes in, I think they’re all stuck with the same issues and no one seems to be resolving them. I don’t think we can trust any of them at the moment.”

Defending Sir Keir, Labour MP Douglas Alexander told GB News that it is “simply not true” that the PM “knowingly misled parliament and lied to the public”.

He said: “It is not true, and the Prime Minister will set out why that’s not true when he speaks at the dispatch box of the House of Commons just behind me this afternoon.”
