Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has told GB News that rejoining the EU is “complete madness” and political figures such as Sir Sadiq Khan and Rachel Reeves are “not seeing that the world has moved on”.

He told GB News Scotland Reporter Tony McGuire: “All of them, they haven’t got the imagination, they can’t see the world’s moved on.

“Why would we rejoin a bunch of economies, many of whom are doing even worse than we are, and shackle ourselves to them? It’s complete madness. It won’t fly.

“And by the way, we’ve got Laila Cunningham taking on Sadiq Khan as Mayor of London in 2028, and he will be out.”
