Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones’ sister has accused his fiancée Chyna Mills of fabricating claims about their family, following the Love Island star’s public allegations of mistreatment.

Terri Peters spoke out in defence of her mother Helen Jones after Ms Mills, 27, took to social media to accuse her future mother-in-law of subjecting her to “bullying, racism, and disrespect.”

Ms Peters told the Daily Mail: “I don’t want to comment at this time. If she wants to spin lies, then look, the truth will come out eventually.”

The family dispute became public this week when Ms Mills, who found fame on the ITV2 dating programme in 2022, shared her account of an ongoing feud that she claims has been happening behind closed doors.

Ms Mills posted black-and-white photographs on Instagram showing the couple embracing their two-year-old daughter Havana during her baptism ceremony.

In a strongly worded statement, she wrote: “I’ve faced bullying, racism, and constant disrespect from a so-called MIL since the moment I met her.

“This year, I decided enough was enough and gave her the chance to discuss whatever one-sided issue she had of course, I was ignored.”

The former reality television contestant alleged that Mr Jones’ relatives had “ruined” the christening by refusing to attend.

She added: “Havana’s baptism was a special day, and his family chose not to attend out of loyalty to her and refused to acknowledge what’s unfolded over the past few years. That’s on them.

“But I won’t accept negative comments or false narratives about my baby girl’s special moments.”

The 43-year-old dancer, who is 16 years older than Ms Mills, made their relationship public three years ago.

Mr Jones proposed during a romantic getaway to Bali in April 2023, and the pair welcomed daughter Havana in October that same year.

The couple have postponed their wedding, wanting to wait until their daughter is old enough to accompany them down the aisle.

A four-time World Latin Champion, Jones frequently appears on Strictly as a backing dancer and is often the subject of jokes about rarely being assigned a celebrity partner.

His most recent pairing was with Toyah Willcox, having previously danced with footballer Alex Scott and EastEnders star Nina Wadia.

Jones was formerly married to fellow Strictly professional Katya Jones for six years, following a relationship spanning more than a decade.

Paying tribute on Instagram, the dancer wrote: “Yesterday, I said goodbye to my dad for the final time.

“I thought I knew my dad, but yesterday I realised I didn’t. After hearing so many lovely and funny stories from family and his closest friends, I know he would be smiling, looking down with a pint in his hand.”

The couple are also navigating housing uncertainty, currently residing on Jones’ houseboat whilst searching for a permanent family home.

Mills explained during a recent Instagram Q&A that she sold her property so they could purchase somewhere together, but they have yet to find a suitable house.

The boat was originally intended as a holiday retreat and Airbnb rental rather than their primary residence.
